Corner Castle Turret Fortress

Let's build a cool mini-castle turret that stands by itself in a room corner!

Stick it to

Do the Stick Test

Gently try one tile on the corner edge. If it sticks, congratulations, your wall has bonus play architecture.

Safety: Test gently first. Not all corners are magnetic, and paint may mark if pieces slide.

How to build it

Step 1 is always free. Visual cards for the rest are part of the build pack.

  1. 1Step 1 of 6

Make a floor base with 4 squares arranged in a bigger square, or a short rectangle.

  2. 2Step 2 of 6

Stand up two squares on one long edge of your base, so they make a little wall.

  3. 3Step 3 of 6

Stand up two more squares on the other long edge of your base, parallel to the first wall.

  4. 4Step 4 of 6

Connect the two walls at the corner with a square or two triangles on top to make it stable.

  5. 5Step 5 of 6

Keep adding squares and triangles up, connecting them securely to make your tower taller.

  6. 6Step 6 of 6

Add window pieces or leave gaps for a secret entrance as you build up high.

If it falls off

Make sure all the pieces are connected into a strong 3D shape, not just leaning, or use a wider base.

Make it easier

Build a short, simple square tower with just a few layers and a roof.

Make it bigger

Add a second tower next to it and connect them with more tiles to make a bigger fort!

Chaos upgrade

Build a ramp up to your turret, or a drawbridge out its door!
